2. Descriptions and features
One line
Blotch is a stealth game about hiding by painting yourself to match your surroundings!
Short (about 50 words)
Blotch is a stealth game about hiding by painting yourself to match your surroundings! Outsmart guards, explore an island of paintings, and fool your friends in online hide-and-seek and Prop Hunt. Build your own maps and share the fun on Steam Workshop.
Longer (about 150 words)
Blotch is a stealth game about hiding by painting yourself to match your surroundings! The best hiding spot might be right under a guard's feet. Hold still, hold your nerve, and let it walk straight over you.
Steal the scenery. Copy colors and patterns from grass, cobbles or a gallery masterpiece. Move onto a new surface and it's time for a new disguise. Watch your step after painting: your wet coat leaves a trail for guards to follow.
Sneak past searchlights and cameras, dodge sprinklers, and find shelter before rain washes off your paint. Some guards need more than a good paint job to fool: hounds follow your tracks, profilers spot your shape, and listeners hear you coming.
Step into a painting. Find a new place to hide. Thirty-two hand-made levels take you from sunlit gardens to glowing caves. Meet the fourteen people who live here, and find out what the old owner's paintings are hiding. Then bring friends, and hide from them.
Key features
- Paint your own camouflage. Match the colors and patterns around you to stay hidden.

- Take the Understreet. Crawl through drains and vents, but watch out for rust and floodwater.
- Thirty-two hand-made levels, plenty of reasons to return. Hunt for secrets, chase three-star runs, and climb the Steam leaderboards.
- Five ways to play online. Hide and Seek, Infection and Head to Head, plus Hide and Seek (Prop Hunt) and Infection (Prop Hunt).
- Build the next great hiding spot. Design your own maps and tiles, then share your creations on Steam Workshop.

The full "About This Game" is on the Steam page, and the same text is in the download as BLOTCH_PRESS_KIT.md.
3. Key art
The same art the Steam page shows, at the sizes it was uploaded. The key art is the gallery at night, the blob painted into a blue floor canvas under a camera's beam. The wide hero and the background carry no text, and the hero also comes cropped to 16:9 for a video thumbnail. Click any picture for the full-size file.

Key art, 1232x706

Wide hero, 3840x1240, no text (also 16:9 at 1920x1080)

Header, 920x430

Vertical, 748x896

Library capsule, 600x900

Background, 1438x810, no text
4. Logo and icon
The wordmark is the game's own title lockup. The full-colour one is what the menu and the store show; the flat ones are for tinting, printing and overlaying on video. All on transparent backgrounds.

Wordmark, colour, 1280x440

Wordmark, flat white

Wordmark, flat black

Icon, 1254 (also 512)
5. Characters
The cast on transparent backgrounds at 2048 px, drawn by the game's own code. The guard sees color, the tracker follows wet paint, the profiler looks for your outline, the listener hears you move, and the seeker is a friend with a paint gun. They share one scale, so two of them side by side are at their true relative sizes. The blob also comes as separate body and eye layers, so the eyes can be moved or shut.
6. Screenshots
Ten real captures at 1920x1080 with the live HUD, one per system, in the order the store shows them.
7. Gameplay loops
Nine short GIF loops at 800x225, the same ones the Steam page uses. Each is one beat of one system, staged on a real level and played by the game's own code. Most are under 1 MB; the two marked are large.

Gallery forgery: painted as Starry Night, a camera finds nothing. Then it steps off the canvas.

Wet smear: a fresh coat drags a stripe of itself along the floor (6 MB)

Understreet crawl: into a drain, under a patrol, out the far end

The flush: rats and pigeons scatter and give you away (17 MB)

The turn: Infection, a hider caught and coming back hunting

Shore wade: the sea strips your coat and pushes you back

Island walk: the beach at walking pace (10 MB)

Multiplayer, from the seeker's screen: a crosshair, and two hiders at work

Prop Hunt: four exhibits in a row, one of them a player
8. About the developer
Blotch is made by one person, Nathan Glover, in Australia, in Godot. It started with one question: what if hiding meant painting yourself to match the floor, scored on the real pixels under you? Everything since has been built to keep that honest. Guards see you exactly as well as your paint job deserves, every screenshot, loop and character on this page is the game's own drawing, and the trailer is the shipped game playing itself.
